Dear brothers; Ngong M. and Gai M,

I would like to grab this moment to welcome both of you to the Mading Aweil public board. Your membership is important for the growth of this board. Since one doesn’t start climbing a ladder from the top, we at Mading Aweil website felt the need to provide a medium through which, Aweil people and indeed their friends, could interact and coalesce together thereby paving a way for common stand in the face of unpredictable political and social realities in southern Sudan. We believe that Aweil, like all other communities, has enormous potentialities, be they know-how or resources; however, our community lacks avenues through which all these endowments could be put into good use. Mading Aweil board was therefore created to serve that purpose. But our collective input is required if that is to be realized. Once again thank you for joining the board. We look forward to sharing ideas with you. Best regards.

Dear all,

I would first of all like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Kout Kout for the great job he had done to the entiry Aweil. In fact, this is a great sign of intellectuality and it has really shown the way of modern democratization among his countrymen and women at large. Back to the website, I think this website will make a sense to all Aweilians wherever they are because its objectives are very clear and motivated to all Aweilians.

Anyway I thanked all the particiapnts of this forums and I wish you all the best wherever you are in the globe.

Best Regards

William Deng Bol.

Hi Deng Bol and Dut Mayen,

It is a tremendous opportunity to have you again with us.

I thought I missed you forever, but now I feel I have a strong and supportive company.

Solidarity and interdependent are the keys to success and prosperity. Therefore, let's move out of our "comfort zones" and work as a team for the same mission.

Ngong,

I appreciate your acknowledgement of our honored welcome to you. Ngong Akok, remember, you must be recognized at home (Mading Aweil) before anywhere else and that is what we are doing here for everyone.

Also, you have made a genuine and cogent point, we are all concerned about a true democracy. Some if not all of us want to have a better system of government placed in our communities; however, the slight problem we always have is that, we have different ways of bringing democracy to our communities, which is not a major hindrance in my perspective, because we all understand what it takes to bring a foreign culture to other culture/cultures. Take, for instance, suppose you want to introduce exotic crop or plant in an indigenous land, that particular plant will have difficulties establishing itself in foreign land because the environment is unfamiliar. In like manner, an attempt to bring a new culture could be viewed as a creation of a "counterculture" or simply corrupting other culture and this will eventually make it difficult to establish or adapt well into a new culture.

But I hope we will bear with those most likely situations a long the path of bringing a true democracy. Also, democracy (new culture) requires solidarity and true interdependent amongst ourselves so that we can achieve its ultimate goal.

As I mentioned that, it is not easy to bring a new culture to other cultures/culture, the most important thing that we should do is to make people knowledgeable, that is , give them the important elements/values of the new culture so that they can without difficulty, incorporate the values of that new culture into their own. I guess this would probably work in this situation.

More information, democracy is a culture like other cultures though it is unique one.

Dear Deng Willi,

Welcome to the board and thank you bro for your compliments. You were missed big time on this board. As Santino and Aher have put it above, your membership is worthy of every bit of appreciation. Your views have always been uniting rather than divisive and we couldn't do without you sharing with us. By having a medium like this, we the Aweil sons and daughters are better placed in confronting the challenges that face we the youth and our community. We strongly believe that this board will undeniably be a starting point toward the realization of Aweil unity. Once again, welcome aboard.

Dear Ngong,

Having an informed Aweil son like you is always a blessing to our community. The reason why our community remains rather isolated on the issues facing the main stream south can best be explained by lack of unity and to a lesser degree education. Aweil ought to have a bigger say in southern Sudan given its huge population and land, but that has always not been the case because we don't have a unity of purpose. It is this historical reality that we; the youth must challenge come what may. However, we first need to put our differences aside and form one big united voice. That will not only change many things within our community but will also change our status in the southern setting. One major reason for creating this board was to realize that dream: bringing Aweil youths and indeed people together. Best wishes.
