People political or cultures changes?

Dears Citizens of Aweil.

Hey Aweil sons and daughters, we all so interesting in political issues and what about the cultures changes? what changes do we needs in our society? what can we do to keep our culture and language or (however you can it) a live?

In fact, most of us are so interesting in learning  many things in life. this question came to my mind and i didn't have time to post it on the board so that i can see many ideas about it. I personal need to learn Dinka language and when, how, and where can i learn it?  if we really think we need changed, let's consider our language as one of the most important things we need to focus on it so much. i heard from many posts that we need school, hospital, and welfare of our people back home and i never heard anything about teaching of Dinka language as our language. remember that our parents back  home doesn't know many languages as we do. so can we please put this things in our consideration.

All in all i we be more than happy to hear from  your different point views about this issue.

Dinka language will be my identity

Dengkidit,

Though I am extremely busy with academic craziness I will comment my brother. Education being a broad term has to be defined in a variety of ways but I will leave it here because I am not expert in the field.

Dengkidit, the chief key to prepare humans is to give them knowledge so they would be on their own feet to find other necessary things in life. There is nothing more important than giving somebody knowledge especially the literacy. The economic problems we are largely facing can be eliminated if all people have knowledge to pursue economic opportunities in their capacities. I have witnessed that education especially the formal education is extremely helpful because it has been widened and enriched with diffierent areas such as mathematics, political science, business, accounting, architecture, engineering,  globalization, anthropology and many more to make human life much better. For instance, if you look at what has been happened in the higly developed countries, you will find that these particular countries have reduced their health, economic, social, environmental, and political problems because they have tried to put every citizen on his/her  feet educationally. More importantly, people who have education have few difficulties turning to the same horizon with respect to fundamental issues such as politics and the correct system of government.

Therefore, the issue of education is exceptionally fundamentally important for devastated country like South Sudan, where the illiteracy rate is incredibly high. Though I am far from affirming that education should be the top priority in forthcoming South Sudan, I would never falter to emphasize the importance of education. Educcation is an instrument our community can use to move ahead with few challlenges in life. Education is the tool the community can use at its disposal to combat all economic, political, social, environmental, and health issues. Equally important as you put it, teaching Dinka is important and moveover it is a major component of plan for education. All languages for instance Latin, German, Arabic, and English can be taught if we have resources to meet them.

With respect to changing cultures, I don't believe in changing our Dinka culture especially Aweil culture. Aweil culture has very important moral values that ought to be kept because they can protect us from foreign corruption. However, the only change I completely agree on is giving both boys and girls equal opportunity to learning because both sexes are extremely helpful to prosperity in Aweil community. They have the same ability and therefore they must all go to school at the same time and they have to the same treatment at learning institution.

I am busy man. I will talk to you later.

Thanks,

Garang Aher

 Dear Deng Kidit,

Many tribes or sub clans in various part of Sudan did all they could to promote literacy in local languages in the churches of new Sudan.. This is the truest democracy where the church and a government is separated from the religions.

The former SPLA/M spokeman in Ethiopa, Joseph Athian Deng Garang, has publised different sets of books in Dinka language right from Africa and we are now anticipating him to show us all the books he has. He is further working in  Dinka- English Dictionary.Since almost all students in New Sudan lack formal education facilities, it is therefore  essential to have books like local Dialects- English translation which would facilitate their learnings. We will talk more on it  after several comments from respectful participants.

     Best of luck

Yel
