hardest time in history

My dear Aweilian

I greeting you all in the name of our god and in the name of our rich earth Sudan.

it is really a difficult time for us all as a Aweil people and for all southern sudanese and for the west or east of land.

I had a difficulties about explaining what happened for our land ,and our people cause now we passed (21)under the darkness worse war.we lost many things as well as our people.

in the end now we had a little bit rest from war ,but what happened to Dr JOHN GARANG wasn't an accedent as the government of sudan said and every one knows that well .it happened to create another defferences between the southern and another disunite so if that was happen it will meat that government of sudan will have another ways for chance for contuning its worse policies against the our people in home land .

But I knew the true of the bible which has been written about our land sudan .god said that we will face alot of trouble ,problems . death .hunger.illness,separate life, but we are the best in the end ,and we will be strong as mountian in the sea. yes brothers sisters ,that little wards let me knew every thing will be change to its ways .and that why the splm/a elected the representative for our  leader Dr John Garang . without arguements or discussion. I really got surprising about that point.and i said in silent for the government of darkness policy ,,yessssssssssss .now what next thing you gone a do???? that was a hardest time in southern sudanese people history, but by power of the god we passed it and we saw our poor people faced so much problem in khartoum during the three days of the death of our leader Dr JOHN GARANG.

THAT WAS A BADLY TIME FOR US ALL IN SOUTH/WEST/EAST,EVEN NORTH OF OUR LAND.

now is the time to the people who are out of land to encourage the rest of their brothers in northern sidan to leave to their areas in southern sudan.

and I know some of us done well during these months ,they helped their brothers, sisters to be back to their areas in southern sudan.and that is why we are here out the land ,we will gone a do something interesting for our land ,cause as far we know we belong to that land ,therefore we have to show our evidencefor these people who are from our kin,and land.

god bless you where ever you are in this world

thanks

your brother,,,,Atak wol akok

Dear Mr. Wol,

It is often said that self-seeking leaders, make people parish. Worst still, when politicians use divide and rule policies, suffering is also inevitable. Khartoum Islamic fundamentalists are the best examples in our recent memory.

The Khartoum Government is to blame for injustices, atrocities, inequitable development, loss of life and unnecessary divisions, before, during and after independence.  In other words, Khartoum has instituted a “hell on earth institution” in Sudan.

That being said, all marginalized people and the southerners, in particular were compelled to seek redress through armed struggles; a move that has lasted for 22 years (from 1983-2005). During all these times, life was, as always, punctuated with tribulations of the highest degree. We paid huge price to seek our freedom. Dr. John Garang, like many of his countrymen and colleagues before him, has paid his life for our freedom.

However, thanks heavens that CPA was signed. Khartoum elites or rather ideologues will never subdue our resolute, will and yearning for self-determination. We will eventually triumph amid odds. Remember, man is a rational being, capable of deciding what is good for him.

Thus, we the southerners have opted for freedom. The road towards freedom is meandering, rough and long. However, we shall get to our destination: equality and opportunity.

         Peace,

          James Alic Garang.
