The Deputy Governor of Western- Bahr El Ghazal State Efisio Kon Uguak and the Minister of local Government received Canadians delegation that pay visited to the State yesterday.
The delegation of the Canadians International Development Agency was headed by Laurant Charette Charge d Affairs Canada, and Mrs. Margaret Biggs, the President of the Canadian International Development Agency.
In press statement to The Citizen Newspaper yesterday the Deputy Governor calls the Government of Canada and Canadian International Development Agency to assist Western-Bahr El Ghazal State in upgrading agricultural activities and education system in the State.
The statement pointed that the meeting has also discussed on how the Canadians assistance can focus in term of the State developments and to closely inspect the areas that in dire need of backing.
Uguak reiterated to the delegation that agriculture in Southern Sudan is the top area that all authority pull their attentions on it as Southern Sudan will forge it independence come 9th July and Western- Bahr El Ghazal State is among fertile States in the South to contribute in that strategic plans designs for agro economy.
our people still practice traditional cultivations which mostly base on, knee cultivations and as the Government we want to introduce mechanize farming which rapidly enable us to topple the chronic poverty that shunned Southern Sudan for hundred of years, said Uguak.
Up grading the Cultivation systems across Southern Sudan will be way forward to fights food deficits in Southern Sudan after we become a nation, that plans for its own people said Uguak assure.
So we may fight poverty through underscoring the food security in Southern Sudan, but this can alone be achieved if our friendly nations like Canadian help us with tractors said Uguak.
We want to be productive as nation and contribute in the world economy, pressing that Sudan People Liberation Movement fought to eradicate negligence that painted on Southern Sudan by the Arab successive regime in the North, Uguak lamented.
State Government is working hard to fight corruption and deliver services to the citizens, and appealing for aids from International Community, to support Southern Sudan for the establishment of it developmental projects, he emphasize.

Our economy is very fragile and we want international Community to start make strong foundation for our economy as State said Uguak.
He thanks the UNICEF organizations in Wau for being working together with the State Government on improve education system.
The delegation expresses the important of security maintenance in the State and urges all Southern Sudanese to contribute for peaceful nation that come after 9th July.
