Interior Minister vows reorganization of Police Forces

South Sudan Minister of Interior Alison Manani Magaya and the Deputy Minister Salva Mathok Gengdit in the first meeting with states commissioners of police yesterday at Star Hotel vowed to reform and reorganize police forces to reflect professional meanwhile discharges the national duties.
According to Magaya, two days consultative meeting with all the ten states commissioners is indeed good move to shade light on the myriad challenges of internal security and how to redress those identify bottlenecked problems in the nation.
The Minister applauded the attendants of all the police commissioners in South Sudan states and expresses his gratitude has it happen to be the first high level of meeting with them after taking the office.
We are independent, a sovereign state as other nation in the world, we have absolute responsibility with our nation destiny and that can only happen if we have set modalities as road map for the police services to be achieved, the Minister added.
This meeting will focus on develop and oversee the implementation of strategic policies and action plansof which we will be able to combat, prevent, investigate, detect crimes and maintain law and order in our nation, he asserted.
He further noted that they prioritized reorganization of police forces, at different level up to grass root through training and restructuring that will soon starting within the ministry.
The Ministry has new strategies which need to be pass up to bomas levels and also for us to listen to your reports highlighted challenges and achievements since you took office in your various states, said Minister to Commissioners of police.
We have national responsibilities to be carried out diligently base on our professions ethic since our people have high expectations aspired on the government to provide adequate security for the maintenance of peace that desperate needed,said Magaya.
He further indicate that there is goodwill for the international community toward South Sudan and its people of which in turn needs to be embrace and flourish our future status.
The Minister urges Commissioners to deliberate on manpower and see what can be done to render adequate and efficiency in police services mandate, meanwhile pressing financial management system to be install for proper and transparent in order to minimize wastage of resources.
The Minister pledges about the welfare of police services to be taking care ofwith ultimate will of cooperation among so that the can success, citing that majority dislike change and therefore transformation will not come easily without fully committed for it.
The Deputy Minister of Interior Salva Mathok Gengdit make appeals for all police Commissioners to speak their mind freely and disclosed challenges that affected them frankly in their various states in order to put it in strategy and action plans.
The meeting is intended to admitted our problems that we succumbed in carrying our duties and piece of brain together to plan ways forward, said Gengdit.
