Economical Wars Negative impact to Sudan, South Sudan

The Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) Secretary for Finance and Economic Affairs Kuel Aguer Kuel expresses heavily negative impacts that experienced by two states of Sudan and South Sudan after both failed to addresses economics relations.

 

South Sudan proclaimed her independence 9th July from Sudan and both states still negotiating the monetary system, especially the exchanging rate between two currencies Sudanese and South Sudanese Pounds as well as trades, said Kuel.

 

The two principle agreement that neglected by the Khartoum and Juba are very important cited economy agreement and trade agreement because the people of both side share long border which need political will to encourage trading across borders, said Kuel.

 

The blockages of Sudan trade routes to South Sudan has results prices inflation in the market between this two Countries, pointed that if two states fails to redress the issue it will affects economics vehemently, he added.

 

The Finance Ministers and the Central Governors of Banks, both sides need to sit together and agreed on the monetary system between South Sudan and Sudan in order to pursue their economy mutually benefits, said Kuel.

 

The two currency system needs to be harmonized especially at the border, of which our brothers in Khartoum didnt want to reach peaceful deals in orders for the goods and services smoothly follow both sides, noted.

 

He further asked all South Sudanese to take their future seriously by encouraging everybody to be productive and discard the issue of rely on relieves or government support.

 

The government cannot give services to every individual without their taxes and argue South Sudanese to pay their taxes to the government so that the country will run effectively, said Kuel.

 

The government will not give aided to the people unless it is the natural disaster because masses of our citizens dislike labouring and raising high expectations upon the government meanwhile the government is the people, he noted.

 

He calls upon the people not to trade accusation against the government without notifying the problems first to their representatives in the Parliament so that they will get comprehensive pictures about the government role.
