SAF Antonov Hovers over Wau Twice Says Minister

The Caretaker Minister of Information and Communication Angelo Taban Biojo in Western-Bahr El Ghazal State on Wednesday condemned the Sudanese army forces Antonov that flied over Wau town repeatedly on Monday and Tuesday.

The Sudan war plane came twice now and hovering over Wau town which is clear violation of sovereign of our airspace, pointed that the Sudanese army Antonov wants to inflict fear as result of intimidation but the days for that action are over, said the minister.

He calls upon the citizens in State to be calm adding that this is not the first time for Sudanese Antonov to flied over the town which is  heavily populated by civilians, adding that the government of South Sudan will put step to deter such attempts.

The border conflicts between South Sudan and Sudan has never been relative calm, despite the United Nations Security resolution and roadmaps that seek the two nations to cease hostilities along the border that are hotly contested, of which Khartoum vehemently refused to comply with the resolutions, said the minister.

Biojo also told the Citizen in an interview, that the High Committee for Mobilization at the State level headed by him is progressing well and they have meet with the State Caretaker Minister of Finance, Trade and Industry Morris Yel Akol to discuss on how the effort will exert to ensure that all counties are cover.

We are in process of opening the High Committee bank account, as well expediting our efforts to ensure that Western Bahr El Ghazal has contributed effectively both human and material resources as in support of our national army, he noted.

He further noted that the three Caretaker Commissioners of the three Counties, namely Jur River, Wau and Raga are the members of the High Committee for Mobilization and are the chairpersons in their respective counties.

The committee has prepared everything and we will represent our report to the governor as soon as possible as we still waiting for the Commissioners to give us their reports about the registration of those who are willingly to be train for the course of defending the nation, said Biojo.

He calls upon the Unity of South Sudanese at this deeply concern situation as vital adding that they have no hope over political dialogue that is resuming between South Sudan and Sudan in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia facilitated by AUHIP headed by Mbeki.
