WE MAY FORGIVE, BUT WILL NEVER FORGET

Just as reminder, this week marks 40 years of babanoosa masive killing which took place in 1964. a lot of southern sudanese were murderd in cold blood (most of them were Aweil's citizens). As we recall these sad and heart breaking memories, we send all our thoughts and prayers to all the families who lost their love ones in that unthinkable crime.

Dear Bro. Kuat!

You had reminded us of brutal and horrible stuff that some naive folks like us would like to know. If you have clue of how the incident happened, I would appreciate you elaborate the story to us bro.

Thiep Angui,

I also want to know the most culprit and why he did it. We are just backtracking them.

Babanoosa 1964.

It is wonderful that a lot of members are into knwing the realty of how did that vicious crime takeplace and who did mastermind it. It is obvious to all the southern sudanese that most of arab tribes possess an antisocial behaviors driven by their sick and self centered mentality which makes all other non arab slaves and servants and these attitudes has made it impossible for the rest of sudanese to intreacts peacefuly with them and created a very hustile environment led to a number of battle specially in kordufan area where most of Baggara tribes reside. They(Baggara) have always, since the early years of sudan emerging as a country, invaded our land looking for easy wealth.

in that particular year of 1964, they invaded Abeyi area, and it was their most powerful invasion of that year in term of man power and number wise, but they were defeated badly to the level that all the people who managed to escape had life threating injuries. As history tells the rest of them did not take it ligthely, they decided to avange their people by killing any southerner that may falls into their hands. Led by Al babo Nimer, arab tribes searched all the surounding areas and small cities. At the time, there was a good numebr of southern sudanese employed by the railway station in babanoosa, so they got concern and turn to the local police for protection which held them in the station for couple of days hoping that all the tension fade away. unfortunately for the southerners, al babo nimer who was the mayor of al baggara at the time visited the local police station and managed to persuade them by using islam and arbism, to let arab avange their muslim brothers who were killed in the above mentioned invasion, the police department agreed but at a condition of waiting for southern sudanese out of the station.

Than our fathers, friends, and love ones were told that it was safe to leave by the local police knowing that there was hundreds of arab militia surrouding the station, and as soon as they stepped out the station the doors were closed behind them and there went down the unspeakable crime.

luckaly few people struggled for their lives and managed to survive this vicios attack like uncl Goub kuac, and Cherilo Chan Deng.
