Dear All,
It is becoming clearer and clearer to me that the Gurtong Discussion Board is
being targeted precisely because it has given platform to so many South Sudanese
to air their views relatively freely. This is being assisted by our own
irresponsible management of freedom of speech, hatred of our own and our
propensity to dispute on almost any minor thing and our love for disruptive
language. Many among us are providing proof day in day out that we are a
community terribly immature, not worthy of being provided with a platform for
uncensored opinions.

I have for long stood up for good commonsense among South Sudanese on this
website. Now I am beginning to wonder whether it is worth the energy. I am also
wondering if Gurtong will not be better off sooner than letter with 100 members
who will discuss issues sensibly than to have 500 members who insist on
destroying each other, their communities and their cause. Forgive me for
speaking out like this but somehow I feel it had to be said.
