Meaningless victory? possibley

Every sudanese knows that the outcome of this civil war is an independent South, so does the NIF government which is determine to do whatever it takes to create instability in the south after indepedence, so the question is : do we have a plan to win the peace and stablize the south? keep in mind that we have over 30 pro government militias in the south as of now and they are heavily armed pluss the NIF has its own plan as well.

Sir, is it possible that we are talking about two different issues because i didn't mentioned anything with regard to peace talks; i did raise a concern about the aftermath of the civil war. Finally, I think you made a good point about every individual contribution, and mine, sir, is to embrace the idea of an independent south.

Dear Andrew Kuot
There is no something call indepedant South in the World of politics,I think you have gone over the history of Sudan.Sudan is the land of Black.South is your, why do you asked someone to give you South.I think and beleived that not all who went to USA,Canada will come back during the interim period. Not all people are homesick.
Have a nice time.

          My wonderful Brother Madingdit

my best greetings to you and all the families and friends back home, i hope that everything is going as you wish. With regard to the point that mentioned about poeple who won't go back home, i agree with you, eventhuogh you just wanted it to be a criticism but it is a real problame and we have been trying to address it in so many ways but at the end of the day it is up to the poeple to decide their fate. what i can tell you for sure is that iam going back home sooner than you can imagine and that is real. Also to be fair, being in Sudan does not turn poeple magicaly into patriots with all due respect.

Regarding the world of poltics that you mentioned, my believe is poltics doesn't change reality, but it gives them a happy face so that they are easy consumed by the puplic, and iam not a politician so that gives the advantage of speaking out my mind. And speaking of history, you made a valid point that sudan is land of black people, but you failed to remember the fact that our enemy has a reputation of dishonesting every single agreement that ever was and this also historically proven so now tell me brother why should i vote for unity whenever the self determination is held.

            take care brother

Garang Kuat and Madingdit,

Both of you are right on the land being for Black Africans and Independent South Sudan. Madingdit, idealistically, we need to have the whole Sudan because it belongs to Black Africans. Realistically, however, it is difficult to get Sudan militarily because the bad regime has used propaganda to attract and get support from Arab wealthy countries to rob us of our God gifted land. We have right to the land and resources but we don't have equal support as Arabs. Furthermore, our leaders in the south have inveterate disagreements among themselves over who should lead right and fight honestly for a genuine liberation of "JunubeenS." This situation in the south has plunged us into major problems that doesn't permit unity and stability in the region. Also, the movement of Spla/m is more privatized from its inception by a few individuals which clearly contradicts the mass objective or goal for that matter. There are people who have been perpetually changing the policies and rules of the mass movement without sharing ideas with the public and other leaders in the movement. Also, in the leadership  there are those who never want the problem in the south to International attention. Many genocidal crimes have occurred in the south but nobody in the leadership has ever tried to inform international communities of what is happening. For instance, two decades slavery has eroded the integrity of Aweil people but nobody took action against it, compared to what is currently happening in Darfur. The Darfurians are getting help they need because their leaders are exposing crimes against their people to the public. However, the issue in South has been   purposely downplayed for personal political and economic long term benefits. Purposely done to build a long term international and national reputation of being a courageous and determined leader. This is pathetic!! Madingdit, this war could not have taken more than ten years if we have not changed politics from mass politics to individuals's politics. What I want to explain is that, we better fight for Independent South because  we are incapable of winning war militarily. The internal problems in the leadership and marginalization of other regions, for instance, Aweil has made everything impossible. Aweil has been outsourced by the leadership leaving their vulnerables unprotected.

Kuat, I think you are correct to point out misbehaviors of heavy-handed regime of NIF. It is a defiant regime that doesn't understand the importance and respect for rules of laws, the regime has committed a lot of gross violations with respect to international laws, the regime that believes in de-humanization of other humans (they believe in making other people slaves), the regime that knows nothing constructive except killing, genocide, and many more inhumane activities. I would never falter to tell Black African Arab allies to stop making more relations with them because they are people of deceptive games. They believe in hegemony, enthnocentrism, and religious imperialism; they think they are superior to other tribes in Sudan. Therefor, I urge all my brothers and sisters to back off from Arabs because they have done many bad things to our people and ourselves included. Most people today have lost three-quarter of their families due to Arabs genocidal and unmerciful actions against our people. Aweil community today is extremely obliterated beyond recognition and that devastation was caused by Arabs. Personally, I am one of those who support the separation of Sudan into two major regions: Independent South for Black Africans and Islamic North for Arab traders. It is a crucial time for us to think about this situation, whether to make more relations with person who cut off your sister and mother breasts, who used your mothers and sisters for sexual pleasure in the villages of more than fifty barbaric thugs, and who cut off your uncle, brother, and father's arms leaving them with agonizing pain and other family problems, who put bunch of families in one building and burned it. Garang kuat and Madingdit, these memories are still fresh and they will remain fresh forever. There will be not treatment for them except to cause to same damage or more than what happened in our region. I can't affirm but I believe there will be generation that will take an offensive, aggressive, and decisive actions against this horrible incident our innocent relatives have stumbled into. I think this is the only way we can ride ourselves of these terrible memories. We must avenge the victims of this war.

The bottomline is that we have to establish principles and policies that will protect our community from bad and dangerous neighbors. We don't want Aweil's people integrity to be abused again either internally or externally in the next a few years. This long suffering of our forgotten innocents should end in this era. Let's move to the phase of understanding the importance of protecting the community and its integrity. It is ultimately our obligation to provide a strong foundation to the next posterity or generations. I devoutly hope that there will be generation that will take of the current problems and provide precaution measures against potential problems that Aweil might stumble into. To produce and educate a vigilant and forward-looking generation is the key to prosperity in Aweil.

                    Dear Aher

It is my pleasure to hear from you bro, and to be honest, that was an honest and constructive contribution, but my only hope is that whatever differences we may have in opinions, our struggle has to continue with in the movement (SPLM/A) work frame because it is the only ship that will take all the oppressed in Sdan to the promise land so let's keep our eyes on the price and let's remember that at the end of the day it will up to the people to decide their own fate.
