Folks, you should not be suprise when you see the above question being address, it is matter of who, when, where and what need to be done for the democracy in Sudan. let's debate about this single human being.
It is a challenge that Southern Sudanese should address this issue including John Garang. Some people see condemnation or criticism of Garang leadership as something actually meant to topple or overthrow him. However, that is not the intention of citizens, what everybody wants is actually a better change in leadership and not revolutionary or rebellion within. Things like tyranny, dictatorship, depostism, nepotism, tribalism, and inward focus are being used more commonly by the citizens to correct the government or leadership. Criticism is the vital instrument in constitutional section called "loyal opposition."
However, the political situation in South doesn't differentiate between criticism and revolutionary tendency, a lot of people think that whoever holds presidential or chairmanship position is a superman who has omnipotent power or capacity. Does that claim or belief really exist? I would say it is a gigantic judgement error for those who precisely erroneously think that way. There is no superman or omnipotent person on the earth, all of us have capabilities and weaknesses and that is why it is highly important to get involved in sharing ideas with your counterparts or partners for that matter in all political situations so that our future as well as for future posterity is not jeopardized. Mabior Issac, I know that the vast majority in the South is genuinely concerned with what future holds in time to come; that is, their minds are wondering in obsecurity or quandary because the truth has not yet revealed itself yet. They believe that the current ambiguity in the leadership might be carried to freed South Sudan, and if that happens as it is supposed, I believe a lot of people will quit that country and therefore there will be a tremendous "brain-drain," because the most targeted group will be that of intellectuals.
I am not trying to scare my colleagues by making false prediction or speculation; however, I believe that under circumstances South Sudan has no better future, the South Sudan prosperity and its wealth will only benefit the minority who have ability to intimidate and control all national resources with powerful militarily might. We will all be subjected to the environment where the overwhelming majority will have no voice in whatever is done in their government, we will be made a flock of timid, pusillanimous, desperate, and completely scared to the point that we will never question honesty and legitimacy of our own leadership.
An end to this dictator'r rule could be insight Mabior Ngang. We are sick of one man's show. Southern struggle should be a collective effort as oppose to the way this tyrant has turned it to. He will go and those sycophants who think south can't do without dictator Garang will be proven wrong.
The word deomcracy will not flourish in south sudan because a minority group in the south have dominated everythings in their hands politically and powerfully. They see people who talk about a genuine democracy threat to them. Now the current media war in south sudan is between realists and idealists where realists have been practicing annihilation to scare idealists. Vast majority in the south do not trust Garang but they are scared to speak out their minds. Like Garang Aher said, in any modern democracy, the opposition party uses criticism to correct the ruling party but that has not been it in south sudan. People see it differently and take those who point out weakness in the administration as bad eggs. In my own view, I think we southerners like to rule by one man forever whether the man is bad or not. The consequences of one man ruling for along time is, he doesn't care about the people at the end because he sees himself as the only man with absolute powers and no one can correct him. I hope the vast majority in the south sudan will get the word democracy right and use it effectively.

I think it would be a good idea to step in and explain yourself exactly who are on this board. supporting John Garang is ok if you are sincere and honest. Looked up the word tyranny more times and compare your master actions with it. See if the term used by Isaac Mabior is appropriate to your brother/dad. Amok, I am confussed about your postings because they carry mix messages. Please put together and come as a real man.
