Dear Peoples of Great Mading-Aweil and to our Distinguished Guests,
Whilst the peoples of South Sudan and other marginalized areas of the Sudan, are patiently awaiting the final signature to be put on the final peace settlement, an emotional moment every peace-loving person is eagerly waiting to see, there is yet another season we've waited for a year to celebrate. Christmas in South Sudan and particularily in Madingdit Aweil is never something to joke about - it is real and worth celebrations. Not only did the Southern Sudanese for the past 22 yrs of War of Liberation had continued to celebrate the birth of our savoir Jesus Christ, they had builts new churches, (albeit with limited resources), and made sacrifices to maintain their faith, to dismay of the NIF's architects of the Islamic endowments program in Khartoum. Christmas of this year (2004), and the beginning of New year (2005) shall remains, by God's will ,something the people of South Sudan would want to keep in their memories for ever, as the Christmas and the New Year of PEACE. So, please accept my greetings to all of you - I wish each one of you does get into this season with hope, health, and prospects. My special thanks goes to Mading-Aweil website management board for superb job they done on behalf of our voicless people . May God almighty bless the people of Aweil in this Christmas and the coming New Year.
