How were your Chrismas celebrations? I hope everyone had memorable moments. I just wanted to say hi to you after days of absence. Take care in your wait for New Year.
Yes, it was a great moment every living must have enjoyed. As you might be aware that the longest days to take rest in the West could only be found in X-mas holidays and the New year eve. But, in Britain (and specially for those who are studying) the two great holidays, does not only bring relaxations, there are worries too - as one must not take them for granted, since it is only a matter of some days before Semester A exams. So, it can be seen as if (kor a dier ko manh den a tuak tony) literally translated as "the Lions are dancing without their knowledge of the fact that their child is being cooked somewhere". We have enjoyed X-mas, but we must hope for the best in our exams, though we must be thankful to God for giving us good health.
It is worth to say, may God bring peace to South Sudan. We might be some inches away from signing the final peace accord, but we must all pray for it.
It is my pleasure to appear again after a while, thanks for your sincere X-mass wishes.
The celebration here in Australia (Sydney) was quite specticular and ceremonious, Awiel community celebrated a big function punctuated with Dinka malual and luo dance. Many sudanese from various ethnic group turned-up and they really exalted Awiel community.
As pertaining, the previous topic" Global youth association", I personally appreciate the idea but, because I was busy for the preparation of this function , I didn't have time to contribute toward the discision of the topic and all the contributions made by others were promising if all put into practise.
eventually it is a vital topic that can not be address at once but , it need alot of patience and efford to achieve it.
It is great seeing you again on the board bwana Udel. I am glad that you guys had fantastic Christmas celebrations in the southern Hemisphere. Can you send us some great pictures (if you took any for our home page?). Yeah the youths issue is still under discussion, we had to postphone it because everyone was busy with X-mas stuff. We need to hear from you guys in Australia. We shall soon revisit that topic and we shall need to hear the perspective of the Aweil youths in Australia, so use this time to consult among yourselves and tell us what you think and you would want it approach. Good luck in your New Year's celebrations.
Sorry Ateny Wekdit, took too long to write back. But I can feel it isn't the best Christmas there is considering the ever mounting exam pressure something which is common among every student. I hope you had great time regardless of what is to come in Jan'. Best wishes to you and your family members (most of whom happen to be studying) in your forthcoming exams. Regards.
